A world class opportunity for local business Friday, 21st July, 2006
AVF Marketing launched their new website at an international wheelchair
archery competition at Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury.
Last year Arnold, who is Managing Director of AVF Marketing based in Northallerton,
took up the sport of wheelchair Archery. Only one year later he was
invited to take part in a European Wheelchair Archery Grand Prix and help
sponsor the event.
The four day European Archery Grand Prix took place at Stoke Mandeville
Stadium, the home of British Wheelchair Sport last week (Thursday 13th
July). Over 50 athletes took part in the European Grand Prix with
teams from Sweden, Finland, Poland, Germany, Ukraine and the UK including
participants from the Team GB Elite squad, the World Champion and Paralympic
Gold Medallists.
Arnold said: “It was a fantastic event to compete in and I learnt
so much from the experience. It was the first time I had ever shot
from 70 metres so it was a real challenge but being able to see World Champions
and Paralympic medallists compete at the same event was an ideal learning
experience for me. Who better to see than the best in the World.”
What made the event even more special for Arnold, was that his own company
AVF Marketing Ltd sponsored the event to launch their new website. AVF
Marketing is a family business, based in Northallerton, offering a full
range of marketing services to clients from all industries. The website
includes case studies, latest news, a marketing tip of the month and biographies
of all the team who are all members of the Fewell family.
Arnold added: “Not only did I see some outstanding athletes but
it was fantastic for my own company to sponsor such a great event and to
see the AVF Marketing name and our new website promoted. We have
worked hard over the last few months to produce our company website and
it shows how as a family business we offer the personal touch. It
seemed an ideal opportunity to launch the site at an event which meant
a lot to me personally. The new website can be found at www.avfmarketing.co.uk and
it’s a great way for local businesses to see the wide range of services
we offer and how we can help them move their business forward.”
Arnold also trains at Sherwood Forest, the well known home of one of the
countries most famous archers, Robin Hood. He is coached by Christine
Gascoigne who has helped a number of archers achieve Paralypmic gold medals
at Athens and Sydney.
